Dr. Jessica Block

Speaker | Neuropsychologist

A compassion that only comes from shared lived experience

I spent most of my pre-adult life thinking I was not smart. Once I was diagnosed with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD when I was 17, I lived the transformation from struggling student to successful adult (and went on to finish a lot more school). Now, as a neuropsychologist, I combine my lived experience and clinical expertise to help people understand their brains, reframe their difficulties, offer effective strategies to grow areas of challenge while bolstering strengths, and realize they were never broken, just misunderstood.

Speaking Availability

I speak with groups of all sizes through talks, workshops, and practical training. I work closely with parents, teachers, psychologists, and other service providers, as well as boards and leadership teams, to turn understanding into real, everyday change.

At the core of my work is explaining how brains work in ways that actually make sense. I help people see that their brains operate differently, not badly, and that once you understand how your brain works, you can start working with it instead of against it. I make complex ideas about neurodiversity clear, relatable, and useful, while staying grounded in my work as a practicing neuropsychologist and the latest research.

Let’s connect to explore your goals and how I can support your community.
